End run around decency

My parents are in town and we went to see Enron, the play (almost a musical) last night. You might think that a musical about the Enron scandal would be complicated and dry, or so far removed from the actual story as to make the name meaningless. And you would be wrong. I was amazed at how well the play broke down the entire convoluted story into parts that were pedagogic, fascinating, and entertaining. It was fantastic, and the performances were great. The stage sets were extremely clever and well done. The only thing I could complain about was the uneven sound (sometimes far too loud, sometimes inaudible), but the show was in the first night of previews and will surely iron out these minor problems before the official opening in a few days. I highly recommend this show.
