It is great to be back in a city that knows good food of all kinds. The other night Sian and I had dinner at the fantastic restaurant Public, yesterday morning Jai and I had breakfast at a wonderful place in the village called Morandi, and just last night I had one of those oh so simple but oh so satisfying slices of NY pepperoni pizza. And let’s not even mention the chocolate chip cookies at City Bakery.

You’re overstating the quality of food in new york by a wide margin, my friend.
Honey, look where I just came from…and while NYC may not have the best of every type of food (Mexicana, por ejemplo), it DOES have an amazing culture of food.
stephen, i hope you’ll be running around the block a few times after dessert.
Honey, it was so lovely to eat at the Public with you. I particularly liked it when the hostess asked whether we wanted to hear each other talk over dinner or not so much. We said yes, we’d like to be able to hear each other, at which point she said, “Ah, so you’re not married. Follow me.”
Also talking to Keith and Marites on the phone on the sidewalk outside after was delicious.
I am naming you the official Meal Planner for our NYC trip in December.
