After bidding a fond farewell to most of the gang at Camp Baba (Thomas and Cordi among the nicest) I hired a car to go see the Ellora caves and was joined last minute by Carol and Peta (also from the pilgrim center).
What can i say but WOW! The caves are spectacular. We also stopped at the citadel of Daulatabad on our way and made a quick detour to something called the Valley of Saints before they dropped me off in Aurangabad the next day. I thought I would probably be a day or so in Aurangabad before getting a train to Mumbai, but as luck would have it, I got a train out only an hour later, and was fortunate to share the ride with a couple from Germany, Ron and Fadine. We had a lot of laughs comparing notes on the Indian head bobble on our way to Mumbai.
As always, pictures speak louder than words (and there are a LOT of them, so gimme some time to caption)…
ahem….! must remember to wobble for ya in delhi, satoriboy!
