This can’t be summer

I guess it is just as well that I am working all day every day. We are back to the relative cold and rain (and more rain), and it is funny, but I think living one’s whole life in this part of the world colors one opinion of what constitutes warm. Every time I feel cold, all the people around me here say it is warm, and when I think the weather is merely warm they think it hot and insufferable. Our bodies really can adjust to any climate (within reason) and start feeling it as our natural state. This year will definitely go down as one of the rainiest I have ever experienced (and a rain that has followed me from country to country). Work is going fairly well, and I am for the most part heartily enjoying my European summer residence. That said, I am looking forward to getting back to New York. It feels more like home now than anywhere else.
