Södermalm

After taking the bikes to a lovely market in Ostermalm this morning, Josh and I headed over to the charming area just south of Gamla Stan called Södermalm. This was formerly an area of workers cottages and later a slum, but now apparently the place to live if you can manage it. It is much hillier than the other sections of Stockholm we have been in, and this adds tremendously to the charm of the place and the views of course. After several days here, I have to say that Stockholm is fast becoming one of my favorite world cities. It is beautiful and cultured and energetic, and I could totally see how wonderful it could be to live here, assuming one could figure out a way to afford it.
