Looks and sounds like you’re having a super time … must agree Berlin is not the most interesting-looking city … altho the Metro was ultra-clean when I was there decades ago … we are are all breathing a bit eaiser since the Dems took the election last week (except for Arnold! uck!!!)… otherwise, it was oh-so sweet! so we shall see what they do … in the meantime, continue to enjoy your travels. xx’s and miss u ~S

    Hey there, Steph,

Thanks for the visuals. Actually, Berlin DID look interesting, and was glad to see how they intersperse(sp?)the city’s rich, yet sordid history with “new architecture” and recently designed public spaces.

I’m glad you have finally gotten on a plane and are off to “the other side of the world.” Have a great beginning to your trip in the East.

    A big hug,

    Jose

What’s with that Holocaust Memorial? What’s the idea behind the narrow walkways and the blocks? I don’t get it. You’d think they’d do a better job than that considering the unbelievable atrocities they left upon the world. Hmm.
